Who is behind this

I'm David Rug. Heidelberg-trained physicist (BSc, 2020), four years deep into building sovereign digital tooling, and currently running this practice from Goães, in northern Portugal.

Before AI engineering became my craft, I spent a decade as a visual storyteller and educator — building animated explainers for thought leaders in complexity science, regenerative economics, and metacrisis work. That communication layer is still here. It's the reason I can sit with a small-school director or a coaching founder and translate AI's actual shape into language that lands.

I run a parallel passion project called Project Liminality — a knowledge-organization system I've been crowdfunding and building since 2021. It's where my agentic-AI craft was forged. The tools you'd hire me to build for your business are versions of tools I build for myself daily.
